Southern Durham 69, Starmount 52

Southern starts out on fire and it is 16-7 by the time the first quarter ends. The Rams picks it up but can't capitalize on several front end of 1 and 1 situations, going 2-6 from the line. Southern Durham goes on a 8-1 run to end the first half. Starmount is taking too many three attempts - nine while only making one.

At the half, the Spartans are up 17 behind 10 points from Washington and eight from Caleb Toler. Starmount is lead by Ferdinand Morales with 12 while Victor Davila is held to four points but seven rebounds.

Despite having their star Julian Gamble in foul trouble much of the game, Southern Durham just rolls along, leading by nineteen at the end of three. But Starmount goes on a 6-0 run behind a Davila three point play, a three pointer from Cody Spicer, 53-43.

Starmount gives all they have but Southern at full strength is just too much firepower. Gamble finishes with 13, Washington 17. Davila totals 23 points and 10 rebounds, Morales 18 points and 12 rebounds.
